COPALTITE: exclusively manufactured in the USA by National Engineering Products, Inc. – NEPI – in two forms:
- Liquid, for smooth, highly machined surfaces or as pipe thread compound.
- Cement, for rough surfaces, warped flanges, or unfinished parts.
COPALTITE:
- Steam joints 2,000 psi – 1200 F.
- Flanges without gaskets up to 6500 psi.
- Threaded joints 10,000 psi.
- MIl-S-15204 Marine Turbines 1200 psi – 950º F.
- Resists gasoline, ammonia, brine, propane, refrigerants, hydrocarbons, hydraulic fluids, mild alkalis, and other common reagents, even at elevated temperatures.
NEPI also produces NEPSEAL 30™, the asbestos-free, flame-resistant sealant for fire-stop applications.
NEPSEAL 30 is a non-hardening, flame-resistant sealant specifically formulated for use as a fire-stop material. For example, NEPSEAL 30 will prevent a shipboard fire from propagating through a stuffing gland which contains electrical cables.
