NEPI sealant NEPSEAL 30™ meets all requirements of Military Specification MIL-I-3065B
NEPSEAL 30
NEPSEAL 30* is a non-hardening, flame-resistant sealant specifically formulated for use as a fire-stop material. For example, NEPSEAL 30 will prevent a shipboard fire from propagating through a stuffing gland which contains electrical cables.
*NEPSEAL 30 contains a small amount of chopped glass to enhance its high-temperature properties. Gloves should be worn when working with this product to avoid skin irritation.
NEPSEAL 30’S Typical Properties
- NEPSEAL 30 provides exceptional electrical insulating properties and excellent compatibility with electrical cable jacketing materials.
- On flame contact, NEPSEAL 30 expands to approximately twice its volume.
- In lab tests, cable exposed to direct flame melted immediately, but the portion of the cable protected by NEPSEAL 30 remained intact after four hours of continuous flame.
- NEPSEAL 30 meets the requirements of military specification MIL-I-3064B.
- NEPSEAL 30 is waterproof (% weight change), resists flame temperatures up to 1,380 F.
- Is available in pint (1 net) and gallon cans (10 lbs. net).
